Confirmation of Booking

A $1000 deposit is required in order to confirm a reservation.  Once the tentative booking period lapses, Snug Harbour reserves the right to release the tentative reservation and allocate the venue to another person without further notice.

Verbal Advice

While all verbal advice is given based upon the best intention and information available, under no circumstances should verbal advice be acted upon or be deemed to be final, without written confirmation.

Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation or transfer must be received in writing.  If the venue is rebooked for that date, the deposit will be refunded in full.  Transfer of date:  If a function is postponed or transferred to another date within six months of the date originally booked, a transfer fee of $500 will apply.  The transfer fee will be refunded only if the original date is rebooked.

Final Numbers

A guaranteed final number of guests is required fourteen (14) days prior to your event.  Snug Harbour will cater for and charge for this number, even if fewer guests attend.

Payment of Account

Full payment for guaranteed number of guests is required fourteen (14) days prior to your event.  Payment may be made by cash, cheque or credit card.  Payments made by credit card will incur a surcharge of 3% of the total account.

Prices & Surcharges

Due to labour costs, events held on public holidays attract a surcharge of 20% of the total account.  All prices quoted are GST inclusive, and are confirmed when deposit is paid.

Beverages

        Without prior approval, we are unable to permit liquor to be brought onto the premises. 

        Bottles of wine will only be placed on tables during dining, thereafter wine will be poured by the glass until then end of the function.

        In accordance with our liquor licensing responsibilities, Snug Harbour has the right to refuse the service of alcohol to any guest deemed to be intoxicated, or under the age of 18 years.

Smoking

Guests are not permitted to smoke in Snug Harbour’s dining, bar or dancefloor areas.  Smoking is only permitted on the paved area outside the venue, or in the atrium.

Extending Functions

Functions may be extended, however this decision is at the discretion of the Function Manager.  The following surcharges will apply, with the account to be finalised at the end of the function:

Extending an all-inclusive standard package - $5.00 per person originally catered for, per hour or part thereof.

Extending the function by running a consumption account or cash bar - $200 per hour or part thereof (prior to midnight), plus cost of drinks.

Alteration of Packages

Please note that any alterations to packages will negate the pricing of all package inclusions.  Some inclusions are applicable only to packages (room hire charges, chair covers) and these will not be offered when a package is altered.

Room Hire 

A room hire fee of $800 for up to five hours (prior to midnight) will apply for those functions not utilising an all-inclusive package, with each additional hour charged at $200.   A room hire fee of $350 is applicable when a function finishes after midnight.

Entertainment and Noise Restrictions

Due to the residential location of the venue and requirements of our Liquor Licence, all music/entertainment must cease at 11.30pm, or when the package finishes, whichever is sooner.  Bands using drums or large amplifiers are no longer permitted to play at Snug Harbour.   In relation to any other entertainment, including DJs, noise levels will be monitored throughout the function, and must be immediately and significantly turned down if requested by the Function Manager.

Venue Access and Deliveries

The venue will not be open prior to the scheduled function commencement time, unless prior arrangements have been made with management.  Deliveries are to be made during office hours, or by prior arrangement with management.

Conduct of an Event

The Client agrees to begin their event at the scheduled time and agrees to have their guests, invitees and other persons vacate the designated function room at the closing hour indicated.  Unless package extension or room hire arrangements have been made prior, the bar will close at the same time the package finishes, and entertainment will also be expected to finish at this time.
